How is PIXL™ different from other magnetic toys on the market?
PIXL™ differs from other magnetic toys that may be available on the market in a variety of ways, including that it is available in a handful of sizes (4 to be exact), 52 different colors that make up a super versatile palette, each PIXL™ block is self-correcting/auto-polarizing (meaning you don’t have to search to find the correctly polarized side of each block before connecting them), overall dimensions, peripheral accessories such as PIXL Canvas™ and PIXL Wand™, features within the PIXL Companion App™ such as the ability to convert any image into a blueprint that can be built with PIXL™ blocks, and so on.
Additionally, not all magnets are created equal. There are various grades of magnets and pull strength and PIXL™ utilizes some of the strongest rare-earth neodymium magnets we could get our hands on.

Your card will not be charged until after the project has come to an end on December 19, 2018, with the project having reached 100% or more in funding.

Will I receive my reward before Christmas 2018?
We know that many backers of ours will want to gift PIXL™ to their friends or family for the holidays. And while our Christmas wish would truly be granted if we were able to deliver rewards by the time the big jolly man makes his rounds later this year, the reality is that we will always prioritize quality over pushing flawed product out the door to meet shipping deadlines.
That said, we know that PIXL™ will make a great gift for the holidays, and so we’ve put together some special downloadables above. If you’re planning on gifting PIXL™ for the holidays (knowing that you will likely be receiving your reward in the new year), feel free to use one of these downloadables as a card to give to your lucky friend/family member to let them know what will soon be coming!

Are you guaranteeing delivery of my reward on or before February 2019?
Believe us when we say we’d love nothing more than to ship every single reward out the very day that the project ends. Of course, if you’re familiar with how Kickstarter works, you’ll know that there are some processes that must first take place between the end of the project and the start of reward shipments. While we are targeting February 2019 as our ship date for all rewards, this is not a guarantee. If it’s looking like we won’t achieve this goal and shipping will take place after February, we will communicate these changes to the entire backer community.

What is your refund policy?
Due to the nature of Kickstarter, we cannot offer refunds to backers once the project ends, with the exception of the unlikely instance of a defective reward being shipped out. Once the project ends, your pledges are put to use immediately to ensure that PIXL™ enters into mass production as soon as possible. Therefore, we cannot offer refunds once the campaign has ended.

I live outside the United States. Will I have to pay duties/VAT to receive my reward?
This depends on your local tax code. Any applicable duties/VAT are the sole responsibility of the backer, and not our team. We have absolutely no control over charging each backer additional duties/VAT at the time the pledge is made, and so these fees (if applicable) may be imposed at the time of receiving the package. If you are unsure whether or not you will be charged duties/VAT at the time of receiving your reward, please get in touch with your local post office.

What shipping method will you use to send my reward?
Shipping method will vary based on backer location. Due to variations in how international shipments are handled by the destination country, there are certain instances in which international backers may experience a delay of several days to several weeks once the package has arrived in its country of destination. Rest assured, this is likely due to a slight holdup in the customs process, and once this process has taken its course your reward will arrive.

Why aren’t there more rewards with free shipping?
Magnets are heavy! We would absolutely love to be able to offer free shipping on all reward tiers for all countries, but the fact of the matter is, most shipping costs shown have already been subsidized by us. We want to make it as easy as possible for all of our backers, regardless of location, to get PIXL™. So even though we’ve negotiated the best possible prices with our shipping partners, in many cases we’re offering shipping prices to our backers at levels lower than what we’ll end up paying.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
